"Today is my birthday, Coralee said." So began many of my birthdays with that line from Coralee Cruthers, usually spoken by my mother. Today I am 63. Looking around, I like the landscape. My golden years are agreeing with me as I shed old, ill-fitting skins in favor of a slightly more wrinkled but comfy skin of elderness.
For the month of November I have a heavy daily line-up. I am holding fast to my goal of having Thanksgiving in my house for the first time in years, probably over more than a decade. I am attempting NaNoWriMo. I have quilts to complete and prayer flags to sew, along with any gifts I may be making. Lots to do. Time to get really organized and clean, clean, clean!!

Today I will be working on a woven flag that's been in my head for a couple of weeks but it only became a new flag in the last couple of days. Fun!! My day is going to be spent by myself, kind of sorting through my own thoughts and then writing as I try to get my stories out of my head and onto a page. So I say, "Go for it!" to whatever your "it" might be. These golden years are the prize!
